SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT

The registration will be in the lobby of the central hotel Dobrudja – Congress center. Registration desk will be open on the 6th and 7th of July from 9.00 to 13.00 and from 14.00 to 22.00.

We remind you that the accomodation and the conference fee are paid upon the registration in cash ONLY. The acceptable curruncies are EUR, USD or BGL (Bulgarian Leva). WE REGRET TO NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS AND TRAVEL CHECKS.

NOTE: Automatic bank machines operating with the most common debit and credit cards (Cirrus, Maestro, Plus, Visa. MasterCard etc.) are available on place.

The scientific program starts on July 8th and finishes on July 12th. The farewell party will be on July 8, the workshop dinner - on July 12, the excursion - in the afternoon of July 10th.

HOW TO REACH THE ALBENA RESORT FROM THE VARNA AIRPORT

There will be organized conference buses from the Varna airport to the Albena resort. To make the bus schedule more convenient please send us THE EXACT DATE AND TIME of your arrival as well as the flight number as soon as possible. When the schedule is fixed we will inform you, but not later than the 25th of June. A trip with the conference bus costs 6 Euro per person (in each direction) and is paid upon your registration.

USING THE REGULAR BUSES

From the airport take bus 409 to the Cathedral. The trip takes about 30 minutes. When you get off the Cathedral is on your right. Then you should cross the main street through the underground pedestrian passage in direction to the clock-tower, then turn right and walk about 200 meters until you reach the Bingo Iberia. The bus stop is nearby. The ticket to Albena costs 2.50BGL. The hours of departure are 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17 – these are buses in the timetable. There are also minibuses, which leave when filled up. The whole trip is less then one hour.

If you choose to take a taxi from the Varna airport to Albena it will cost about 15-20 Euro. 1EUR=1.955BGL

First Announcement

Dear Colleagues,

The Black Sea EDGE-Workshop on Differential Geometry is organized in Albena, near Varna (Bulgaria) from July 7 to July 13, 2003, in the framework of the European Research Training Network EDGE (European Differential Geometry Endeavour).

Albena is one of the nicest summer resorts in the Bulgarian part of the Black Sea. This place is very closed to the sea beach and has beautiful surroundings.

The workshop aims at presenting an account of the latest achievements in the subject and will be based on talks and informal discussions.

The duration of talks will be 45-50 min.

How to participate

Conference fee - 90 EUR, accompanying persons - 70 EUR.
The conference fee includes registration for the workshop, an opening party, a farewell party, an excursion, refreshments and other facilities.

A fee reduction for young EDGE post docs will be possible under request.

Accommodation

1. Standard accommodation (including breakfast, lunch and dinner):

Single room: 51 EUR per day
Double room: 45 EUR per day

2. More luxury accommodations (including breakfast,lunch and dinner)

Single room: 68 EUR per day
Double room: 58 EUR per day

Single room: 72 EUR per day
Double room: 61 EUR per day
