The Hurd has different design than Linux. It's made to be flexible. Linux is made to be fast. I don't want the fast Linux, I want the flexible Hurd, and that's why I'm working on it.

1. Booting
   • ATA-100 PCI CMD649 controller support for OSKit
2. Development environment
   • Emacs and build-essential
   • ext2fs without partition size limit
3. Multimedia environment
   • XFree86 with XVideo support
   • MPlayer
   • Sound
   • And all that working on a Pentium 498MHz...

APT Repository

There is a repository with some packages that I've compiled. To use it, add the following to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
